We are currently on the road in Ketchikan, Alaska, at the 1st City Saloon. We have been working constantly since the beginning of August, although that is nothing new for us. This has already been a long road trip, but we still have 8 weeks to go before we get to go home. Last week we had the pleasure to play for the Alaskan Visitor's Association (AVA), while they were her in Ketchikan for a convention. Boy those are some great people, I can now see why Alaska is a top tourist destination. With the people I met, who wouldn't want to come here. I just want to let the people who read this to know, that it means a lot to us to be able to keep in touch with friends we have made through the years, and that when we are on the road, you are as important as family to us. It is hard being away from our friends, and families for most of the year, but it what we have chosen to do for now. Four guys crammed in a van with all their gear sharing good times, and bad with each other. I am happy with what we have been able to accomplish in this band. I know we are one of the hardest working, and best bands out there. I would like to thank all the people that helped us along the way, mostly the guys that used to be in the band, but had to leave for their own reasons. Kenny, and Brian, (two great singers), Ted, (frontman & singer, deservered more), Danny,(singer, bass player, picked us up when we were down), Chris,(drummer, the guy everyone liked, Jake (drummer, friend, always there, always the ultimate professional). I've got to run for now, but I'll update this when I can.
I've
added more pictures in the archive,
so check them out while you're here.

The Just Kidding Biography:
Just Kidding has been around, in some form, or another for almost six years now, and although it has gone through many changes since it first began in 1994, we have always tried to have fun, be a high quaility band, maintain a song list of a wide variety of music, and remain friends, which sometimes is hard to do. Starting in 1994, we changed the name of the band from "The Rayne" to "Just Kidding". The five of us at that time , Kenny (Vocals, Keys), Brian (Vocals, Acoustic Guitar), Andy (Bass), Rob (Guitar), and Jake (Drums, Electronic Percussion), played just about everywhere, and had a lot of fun. Kenny left the band to pursue other interests ( a job ), that left the four of us. With no keyboard player, I took on the job of sequencing keyboard parts ( I had no idea what I was in for), so I went out and bought a ton of gear, and we continued on. Next to leave was Brian. Brian was a phenomenal singer, as you can hear on his self titled release "BrianFlanagan". So now we had to replace Brian. We got lucky, one day at the PA shop ( The Rock Shop ), when owner Dave Chisholm mentioned to us that Ted Okos was looking for a gig. Ted was somewhat of a legend on our circuit. Being the leader, and frontman of the infamous "Nick Danger", and "Audio Cartoon". We were very happy to have Ted on board. I remember Jake, and I laughing so h ard the fir st time we played wi th him on stage, we had tears streaming down are faces from laughing so hard from his jokes, that we couldn't play. He is the one responsible for the comedy during our shows, although there was no way in hell I was going to play in drag, something he was famous for. During Ted's tenure with the band, Jake had the opportunity to go o n tour with one of Canada's top recording acts, "DougandTheSlugs", so of course he had to leave. Enter now, Chris Murray Driver. Chris had filled in some dates with us in the past, so it was an easy choice of who to call. Chris is probably the loudest drummer on the planet, (that snare was so loud). This line up worked real well, until Ted announced that he was retiring after 20 plus years in the business. This left a hole that I thought we could not possibly fill. Not only did we have to find yet another singer, but we had to find someone to replace Ted. This was not going to be easy. There were talks with Ricky Renoff of "The Knobs", and Darcy Deutch of "Simon Kaos", and "Prism", but then came a late night phone call from from Jake, saying he might have found what we were looking for. That was Danny Latham. We had all known Danny for years, he had played in many great Vancouver bands, "Long Train" , "Triple X" , "Headpins" , and "Steele, MacLeod And Prisoner", and was returning from a tour with "DougandTheSlugs" . Not only was Danny a great singer,he was also a great bass player. He had just left Doug and was looking for work. Everything was now back on track. About a month after Danny started with us, Jake finished touring with Doug, and was back in the band. After a long American tour finishing in December 98, Danny left the band to get married. He is currently on the road with "The Moffats" as their Road Manager. After that, Chad was brought into the band on the recommendation of our Agent ( Bruce Bromley of S.L. Feldman & Associates ). He had performed the duties of singer, and band leader in his own band, "TEN 33". We hired Chad sight unseen, we never heard him sing, didn't know what he looked like, anything. We emailed him a song list and told him to learn it, and that we would be home in a couple of weeks. We had no time for rehearsal, and the rest of us already knew the songs, so it was all on him. The first time we met him, we were picking him up to go to the airport to catch a plane to get to a gig. We landed, set up, played, he did a great job. After about a year, and a half we were offered yet another long tour. This time Jake had some prior commitments with "The Linda Maze Band" which both of us had just backed her at her CD release party. The call went out to our long time friend, and previous drummer, Rod Senft. Rod had played with "Bazooka Joe, Wanted Alive, and Worms Hate Rain". He had also done a fill in with us, so he knew what he was in for. Rod is also famous for his "Rodisms". This new line up is killer. We're still playing, and still having fun!
